Intense selfie close up face brooding black and white

This was my first ever selfie taken long before the term “selfie” was heard of. I had only just got the camera a few days before and was already sick of taking photos of flowers in the garden. I wanted to play with lighting and shooting a more human subject. This was the best I could come up with. There were no flip around screens on the camera, no self-facing screens of an iPhone, hell there were no screens or iPhones at all. I just had to hold the camera at arm’s length, click the button and hope for the best. At least there was autofocus.
I was 29 when I took this photo. Maybe I’m delusional, but I actually don’t think I’ve aged that much.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my photography. I appreciate you and hope that you enjoy my work.

Wishing you a brilliant day,
