We spend our lives seeking connection with others. First with our families, then friends, pets, lovers and who or whatever else. So much time and effort put into forming bonds and growing relationships. Doing our best to please others, to be there for them in the unconscious hope that they will be there for us. That someone will accompany us in our most desperate hours.
And yet in those times that matter most, we are all completely and utterly alone and nothing can ever change that.
