Afflicted with obsession
the generation of today
with this thing called `television’
It aint gonna go away.
Hypnotic drone of content
Addictive beyond whats seen
Insidious commercial salesman
Behind everything you see

Scenes of death and destruction
people without food and homes
destroys your heart of compassion
you take on apathy to cope.

Is there an end to all this?
Will people wake up and see
what their favourite pastime really is to be?

May all news be good news
There’s so much bullshit I’ve heard.
You may win some prizes but
more likely get hurt.
T.V. attacks you
closes your mind to induces pain
maybe not physically but
there is nothing to gain.

Scenes of politicians
religions and obsessions
As your soul cries out
for electronic redemption?

Is there an end to all this?
Will people wake up and see
what their favourite pastime really is to be?
