The last 2 years have been tough. I’m sure at some point or another, every single one of us has had moments of overwhelm, fear or anxiety with everything that has been going on. I know I have. Unlike the popular catchphrase claims, I for one, do not presume that we are all in this together. In fact, I don’t think we have ever been so separated and isolated. It seems that everywhere we turn there is something new trying to divide us. Division from our families and friends, from our communities, from our oneness with nature, and from our connection with the Universe (or God if you prefer).
With this year blinked out of existence and 2022 upon us, I ask that you stop! I mean, really stop, for just a moment, and think about all the ways you have lost connection with that which is important to you, that which matters most. Take some time to become fully aware and then reflect on this.
As “civilised” humans in these societies, we have created, it’s easy to place importance on things that really aren’t. Chasing status, financial wealth, personal image and the like.
Really, the most important thing we can do is grow and encourage greater connection! Connection with our true selves, connection with other humans, connection with animals and nature, and connection with the greater Universe of which we are.
So as we begin this new year, ponder the ways you can reject division, open your heart, grow your connection and build that which is truly most important.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my creative works over this last year.
From my heart to yours,
I appreciate you and wish you a safe and connected 2022.
