This long exposure of Lake Wendouree in Ballarat Victoria looks so calm, peaceful and serene. In reality, I was battling to keep the camera still from the wind buffeting against it, my fingers were turning blue from the icy cold and it was so dark I couldn’t see anything other than the lights that I was photographing. My road trip buddy had the good sense of staying in the car while I wandered into the blackness and down to the lake shoreline.
