Nothing is forever

Nothing is forever.

The universe is in constant flux.

The only constant, the only certainty is that change will occur.

Sometimes it’s foreseen.

Sometimes it’s planned.

Sometimes it sweeps the floor from under your feet and shatters your heart into a thousand pieces.

Sometimes we get to observe the change as it occurs to others.

Sometimes it engulfs us in its blizzard of confusion and chaos.

The new will come.

The old will go.

A wake of sadness and loss.

A future full of promised joy.

Alive in the illusion of what is and that it will be.

It’s all gone, yet it’s all coming.

Tomorrow will bring today and yesterday will be forgotten.

All we have is now. This eternal, ever-changing moment of now.

Everything else is made up.
