The Madness

The madness is all around

Pushing

Pounding

Punishing

I feel it closing in

Insideously suffocating

Its wrath emanating through my senses

For a second I am caught

Held in its cold menagerie of lost souls

Tip-toe Tip-toe

My mind is volatile

when it is inside

Waiting…

Ready to explode in a brilliance of colours

Its wrath, now my own

A blindingly violent flash

before me lay its… my weeping victim

It escapes my grasp its mission complete

My mind left a jumbled mess of confusion

The madness, my salvation and yet my executioner

The madness is calling

Forever calling…..
