Rob Legato, legendary visual effects guru took to the TED stage back in 2012. Rob, who is responsible for the effects in a couple of small movies such as The Jungle Book, Hugo, Avatar, The Departed, Bad Boys II, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Cast Away, Armageddon, Titanic and Apollo 13. Not sure if you’ve heard of any of them…
This is a great presentation with Rob talking about working on some of these great movies and how he creates an emotive sequence that is totally believable by playing with reality and giving an audience what they expect to be real rather than what is. He is also remarkably funny.
One of my favourite TED talks for sure.
